A regrettable handbag choice.

I’m Julie, the founder of Julhs.
Years ago, before a short trip to Europe, I bought an inexpensive imitation leather bag.
At the time, it felt practical — light, structured, easy to organise.
It came with me on the trip, then stayed in my closet.
Years later, I found it again.
The coating had peeled, sticking to the shelf beneath it.
The material had broken down over time, leaving behind marks that were difficult to remove.
What felt like a simple purchase had not held up.
It stayed with me.
Since then, I’ve chosen differently.
A fabric bag would have lasted.
A well-made leather bag would have aged with use.
For the past few years, I’ve carried Treasure.
It shows wear, but holds its structure.
With occasional care, it continues to feel the same.

It’s a small shift, but an important one.
Choosing fewer things.
Choosing better materials.
Keeping them longer.
That thinking shapes everything we make at Julhs.
